The sustaining crystal flow.
Grasping a clear glimpse,
Of figures unknown.
Oblivious to stature,
In a world of such heights.
Created perfection,
With an instinct to survive.

In The Reflection…
Am I like you or are you like me?
Whose reflection do we see?
Lost in wavering introspection,
Striving for identity.
Merged with passive consent,
Which of us is the thief.
Stealing from the real, to feed the false
Monopolizing the mirror’s company.
It’s hard work just to see,
Self scattered in the intangible.
I seek fluidity in self-unification.
A connectivity that’s palpable…

Merge…
I am half of you,
Or are you half of me?
Which one of us wins,
In this yearning for superiority?
Images the same,
Together in separateness.
Yet unwilling to merge as one,
Hiding identical faces from acceptance.
A war we cannot win.
A battle we shouldn’t fight.
Futile efforts to remain apart.
With closed eyes, we’re both in sight.
I stare at you closely,
Uncertain if you are real.
We are two halves of a whole,
It’s time we unite and heal.

Reality’s cusp
Ripples disturb the placid
The only evidence
Of elemental change
Earth and water’s relevance
A clear sky blurred
Barely recognizable land
Beauty perfected by genius
Illusions’ grandness stands

Mirror mirror
On the wall
Thanks for taking time
To reflect me at all
I once looked inside you
Only to find
That the me I needed to see
Was past the glass, just behind
The superficial reflection
I saw once before
Has life and depth now
And leaves much to explore
I can look at the things
I wish weren’t there to see
And think to myself
“Everyday, God’s working on me”
Mirror mirror on the wall
Looking glass of truth
I can finally say with confidence
It’s really nice to meet you
