A Morning Bevy

A Delight to My Spirit

Their Mourning Soothes Me

Symphonic Repetition…

image

The symphony shifts
From light to dark
Natures instruments are exchanged

New players come out
In harmonic unity
Day to night, few notes the same

Some of the birds
Ride out the transition
Maintaining their flutes a while

But the night owls asserts
Their nocturnal superiority
And cry heavy above their delicate style

Crickets chirp with vigor
Piercing and steady
In a dominating rhythm

While the resting await the dawn
To reignite day’s songs
And so goes symphonic repetition

Angelic Tiara…

image

Cloaked in alabaster,
Ornamentally arrayed.
Blessed with angelic beauty,
Layered, soft fountain display.

Unfolding into brilliance,
Luminous purity awakens.
Marching attire fit for a bride,
Patterns orderly and disciplined.

My eyes are enslaved.
Your spectacular design entrances.
As you gracefully glide to the melodies,
That inspire your ritual dances.

God’s creative hand formed you,
An accent shining through the dark.
Painted, a unique porcelain charm,
A masterful work of art…

Springtime Renewal… A “Piku”

image

This post was inspired by M. Zane McClellan, a very talented poet, in honor of Pi Day (new to me!). You can find specifics for writing guidelines for a “Piku” at his blog: http://thepoetrychannel.wordpress.com/2014/03/14/an-ode-to-pi/#like-936 -including external link.

The syllable requirements are listed next to each of my poem’s lines. Zane has a link for more info and a great example he wrote himself. Thanks to Zane for schooling me on a new style!

3-Spring’s newness
1-blooms.
4-displaying joy’s
1-glow.
5-effervescently
9-sharing hope to all witnessing eyes
2-freely.
6-reflecting peaceful hues,
5-meant to encourage
3-renewal.

Winged Vocalists…

Image
Song birds vocally manifest,
Their inherent beauty.
Massaging sound waves,
Carried delicately on the breeze.

Colorful, feathered art,
Ornamentally perched.
Effortlessly spreading the melodic,
Through cheerful, unrestrained verse.

My heart is filled with joy,
As I breathe in natures’ musicians.
Hearing beyond auditory senses,
Seeing beyond my vision.

Tempo becomes tangible,
Treble clefs dangle in flight.
Rhythm is random perfection,
Refrains’ sustain moments through rewind.
