Poetic Journey in Personal Discovery

Within Her Four Walls…

Drowning within her four walls,
Soaked in self made torment.
Submerged in agony,
Little fight left.

Returning to the dark places,
Her mind draws her to.
Surrendering in error,
To the things she once knew.

Perhaps her hurt will all drift away,
Upon gentle waves of continuity.
Perhaps her eyes will open,
And this will have been, but a dream.

Or maybe she’ll drown,
Within her four walls.
Eyes closed forever,
In her slow, steady fall…

  4. Very deep imagery here. 🙂

  5. An every day struggle put in words.
Life’s hurdles made hard by chains to a past
Writing it down being victorious to over come.
keep on smiling that smile, it suits you best.

  6. I love your poems E! And I know they may not be what is happening now, but they are from your life, your heart, soul and mind. You are an awesome poet! Hugs my sister!

    • I can “jump in to” other people’s experiences, but I can also closely touch the poems I write personally-either past or present. You’re reading me for sure! Ty.

  7. Shake it off, friend. You inspire many to keep on fighting, so this time, inspire yourself. Yes, it is a dream compared to the reality: your poems are great.
