Poetic Journey in Personal Discovery

Happy Palms…

Palm trees in the Las Vegas,
Brought from far away.
Transplanted into sandy ground,
About which, they had no say.

Yet they seem to be quite happy,
Despite the lack of rain.
They have the loyalty of the sun,
And winds to help them sway!

And how about the late night music?
The lights that make them glow?
The crazy things they get to witness,
That the world may never know?

It is true what they say,
At least in many a circumstance.
What happens in Vegas stays there,
Where many happy palms dance.

  1. Reblogged this on Dancing Doll Fins.

  2. Nicely done. Isn’t another name for Vagas ‘sin city’? They must see it all.

  3. Really well done. This made me smile.

  4. I loved your unabashedly positive verse, even though I’m insanely jealous of anyone who can just spill poetry from their heart.
You may be worth checking in on periodically, so I’ll break with my elitist practice and “follow” you. Blessings always.

    • LOL.You seem like a fun character already, and this is just my first comment of yours that I have read! Classic. I take your follow with undying appreciation!
