Poetic Journey in Personal Discovery

Glory Days of The Shady Oak
Known to a girl I once did know…

Lying below
The shady oak tree
Which kindly lessens
The suns’ heat
Settled into
The soft-blade carpet
Refuge and peace
With ease are harnessed

Lush green leaves
Blanket my view
Animated on an aerial
Canvas of blue
There’s a soothing rustle
Gifted by a steady breeze
Playing a gentle
Unbound symphony
All other sounds
Depart my senses
As I escape into the serene

The world around
Folds into itself
As the moment I know
Leisurely melts

Into a cemented memory…
